Queensland’s Premier Chess Event: July 8 to 12

The 2026 Gold Coast Open

The 2026 edition has now been locked in and we will once again be using the Broadbeach Cultural Centre for our venue. This locks in a fantastic location right near shops, food, accommodation and transport! Make a trip out of it and see some of the Gold Coast whilst enjoying one of the feature events on the Australian Chess Calendar.

Venue and Accommodation

The 2026 tournament will be held at the Broadbeach Cultural Centre. There is plentiful accommodation nearby in Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise and even down as far as Burleigh Heads.

Pacific Fair shopping centre is directly across the road with an abundance of food outlets and shopping options for between games (or for parents!)
