This event is for players rated under 1750 ACF.
The winner will gain direct entry into the Queensland Championships 2023.

**Players who are not CAQ members will not be paired until they are a member**
All players must have a FIDE ID or be permanent residents / citizens of Australia. If players do not have a FIDE ID they must get one from their national federation before the commencement of the event.
This tournament will be FIDE, ACF and Queensland Junior rated.
- When: 25th and 26th February 2023
- Where: Hinterland Hotel, Station Street, Nerang
- Cost: $85 Per Player ($75 if before 12th Feb, and $95 after 19th Feb)

Schedule:
Saturday 25th February:
Registration at 9.30am – 10.00am
Round 1 @ 10.15am, Round 2 @ 1.15pm, Round 3 @ 4.15pm
Sunday 26th February:
Round 4 @ 9.00am, Round 5 @ 12.00pm, Round 6 @ 3.00pm
Time Control:
60 minutes per player + 30 seconds per move
Prizes:
1st – $700, 2nd – $400, 3rd – $250
4 x rating groups of 1st – $150
Byes:
A maximum of 2 x 1/2 byes may be taken in rounds 1-4.
