The Gold Coast Open is one of the biggest events on the Australian chess calendar and is the flagship event of Queensland chess. Split across three divisions, there is something for everyone and we would love to see you come and be a part of that as we strive to beat our record from last year.
This year we have a new venue in the Labrador Community Centre, Billington Street, Labrador. This venue is a short walk from plentiful accommodation, the broadwater, and a number of restaurants and takeaway outlets.

5th to 9th July
9 round swiss tournament, 90 minutes + 30 seconds per move
$130 early entry (ends Sun 18th Jun) and $150 standard

7th to 9th July
7 round swiss tournament, 60 minutes + 30 seconds per move
$90 early entry (ends Sun 18th Jun) and $100 standard (MINOR)
$100 early entry (ends Sun 18th Jun) and $110 standard (MAJOR)
